Can't believe that it's August 12 and we are so close to starting the new school year. It seems a bit odd to me since we are starting so much later. We miss having the students here and are excited to see all of you in a few weeks!

We will have a few new staff at the MS this year. Mrs. Keizer will teach 7th grade LA, Mr. Gregory will be doing our choir, and Mr. White will serve as a guidance/at-risk coordinator for both the MS and HS. We are excited to have these people join our SMS family!
Activities for 7/8th graders will start on August 24. Practices will run: August 24 - 4:00 - 6:00 and August 25 - 4:00 - 5:15. Regular practices will start on August 26 after school. Starting with September 2, Wednesday practices will be in the morning to allow teachers to attend professional development training. Students will need physicals and green waiver forms turned in before they can practice their respective sports. If you need help with either of these items, let us know.
We are looking forward to the new school year and seeing everybody again. This building gets too quiet when the kids are away! We have a year full of awesome challenges in front of us, but we know that with hard work by our teaching staff and our staff, we can accomplish great things. See you soon!
